About Bet Dwarka
Bet Dwarka, also called Shankhodhar, is a small island off Okha that is believed to have been Lord Krishna's home. Its main temple, credited to Vallabhacharya, stands among smaller shrines, and excavations here have found remains from the Late Harappan period. Since February 2024 it has been linked to Okha by the Sudarshan Setu, a cable-stayed bridge whose footpath carries Bhagavad Gita verses.
