About Takhteshwar Temple
Takhteshwar Temple is a Shiva temple on a small hillock in the centre of Bhavnagar. It was commissioned by Maharaja Takhtsinhji in 1893 and is named after him. The white marble temple has 18 carved pillars and a hall before the sanctum, with views over the city to the Gulf of Khambhat.
