About Kirti Mandir

Kirti Mandir is a memorial to Mahatma Gandhi and Kasturba Gandhi, built beside the Gandhi family's ancestral house where Gandhi was born on 2 October 1869. Started in 1947, it was opened by Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in 1950. You can walk through the old house, see the room where he was born, and view a photo exhibition on his life.
